Block Heater Question
How many watts is the block heater in a 7.3L?
I'm @ Lowe's trying to pick out a timer so I don't have to get up @ 3am to plug it in before heading out - man its cold - our high today was 15

Thanks - most of the plug in timers are rated to 1875W.
We get cold here but usually not for long - most of the time we don't plug in any of the trucks - only the tractor.

It is on your pocket book. Timer will turn it on for about 2 to 3 hours before you need to go. Figure 3 hours a day @ 1KW X.10 per kw = $.30. Or without, say you plug it in when you get home from work, Let's say 14 hours a day @ 1kw x.10 per kw =$ 1.40 over 30 days is a huge difference. Just my .02 Jim

Yup - that's why I bought timers - w/ the electric rates what they are these days & heat pump only heat for the house the elec bill will be plenty high this month!
