Just bought my 64 f250 and it only has a arm rest on the driver side. No holes in the door or PVC panel, no screws nothing on the passenger side. Did Ford do this? Only install one. Or did someone add a armrest to the drivers side only. It is turquoise or I should say what is left of it is. I think I could be happy with no arm rest I have to replace the PVC panels any way.
patmedic, closing the door with an armrest is easier on your inside door handle shaft splines, and I think armrests were optional on standard cabs anyway.
I apologize I should have told you it is a Custom Cab. But way only one arm rest? That's just weird. I will order two or my OCD will go into overdrive it has to be symmetrical.
Yep I do use the wing window latch to close the door but I hold my pinkie out like I am drinking a fine glass of wine. Proper slick procedure
Trucks were not seen in the same light in the 60s as they are now. Custom cab trim & passengers were a very small minority. 4wd, V8s, radios, auto tranny all were yet to become a desired item.
I suspect Bill would say that they could be ordered in 64.
The arm rests on the regular cabs were on option. $4.90 for my '65, just one on the left. Guess the Original Owner didn't want to spoil anyone riding with him.
Thanks guys just wondering what the stock or add on options where. Looks like I will be buying 2 arm rests and trying to Paint them turquoise. I only wish I could still buy them for $4.90.

What's the other colors on your interior ?
Would white or black work just as well ? Save you from finding a paint color not typical in plastic or vnyl color in turquoise.
Just a though.....
On the 64's with the Custom Cab package the left armrest was all that was part of the package...this is direct from the 1964 salesman info I have...you could have gotten the RH one for an extra fee I imagine and have the dealer install it.
Customcab The interior is turquoise , blue and white But the door panels are the white ones, your right I have a few more places to check but no turquoise in paint. I just might have to settle for the white ones . Thanks for everyone's input on this.
