I have a '90 F150, the power locks work on the driver side. From both switches I can lock and unlock the drivers door, but not the passenger door. I was told by someone locally it is a common problem so I thought I would ask before I tare the door apart and start poking and hoping with a light tester. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Could be the switch is dead, or maybe it is disconnected. It isnt the lock solenoid as the drivers side switch works it. So it is the wiring or the switch on the passenger side that is faulty.
Good luck.

That would be a bad passenger lock motor - not either switch. The motor has a peg on each side in a rubber grommet that snaps into a white plastic bracket that's riveted to the back edge of the door skin. You can drill out the rivet, but I find it's easier to just wet the grommets with Liquid Wrench and pull them out of the bracket. Then you swing the motor up & forward so its operating rod comes out of the catch mechanism, and then unplug it from the wiring.
Did I ever misread that
For some reason I saw the drivers side worked the passenger side, but the passenger side would not work its own door.
I give up
