Just picked up 1986 II ... brakes seem to work fine except the pedal wants to stick in the down position, can but foot under pedal and pull right back up and brake will release... any ideas where to start looking? thanks Jace

Ithought that the hydrolic pressure was what pushed the pedal up. I guess i would sart by bleeding the brakes really good all the way around. Maybe check to make sure the calipers and rear wheel cylinders are working right. If it still does it, maybe look into replacing the master cylinder

it’s happening to my 1976 Ranger I have breaks but when I fire up the truck the pedal doesn’t returned all the way causing undesirable breaking
