I know this does not go on this thread but there was a lot of viewers
This is a 2000 Expedition 2wd with all the luxuries (air suspension, rear climate control ext) 5.4L 100k the thing cranks but no start. I completed the following
1 made sure there was gas
2 checked fuses and replaced relay
3 check inertia switch (no accidents anyway)
4 checked spark
5 checked power to fuel pump
6 dropped tank and checked fuel pump
I tried to listen/ feel for a hum when the tank was is didnt hear/feel anything so i dropped the tank took pump assembly out and plugged back in to make sure it didnt work but to my surprise it worked on cranking? So what could it be?? could there have been a loose connection and I somehow reconnected it in the process of disassembling and now it works?Should I replace the fuel pump anyway? Please help!
Is there fuel at the fuel-rail?
Whens the last time you changed the fuel filter?
Have you done anything to the truck that may affect the PATS system? (anti theft system)
