These are the rare fog lights that were found on the 1980-1986 F-Series and Broncos. Its too bad the seller thinks he is sitting on a gold mine. Are these really worth ONE THOUSAND dollars?
Yes, these were optional on 1980-1984 F-Series and Broncos.
The Marchal spelling is correct. Marchal fog lights were also found on the early 1980s Mustangs and Capris, but they didn't come with the chrome frame like the trucks used.

Awesome find man! I've never seen an intact set of those in my life, except for in the 1980 brochure. Never actually seen them on a real truck. I've seen the instrument cluster bezel with the cutout for the fog lights, but never the fog lights.
As far as that price though, I don't think so. I betcha somewhere in the world there's a private party that has a couple boxes of these assemblies sittin in a warehouse. The factory fog lights weren't too popular on these trucks. At most, i'd say $300. And that's quite generous.
I actually have a complete NOS set, with the covers, factory wiring and switch plate (mounts under the dash) as well. I think I paid around $50 for the entire set about three years ago. These are VERY hard to find. When I finally get around to getting my truck painted, I plan to put them on my truck. That will definitely set my F150 apart from all the others!
Since these Marchal fog lights were dropped in 1984, there is no factory fog light bezel in Burlwood for the 1985-1986 models. If I could ever find a really nice fog light bezel in the earlier Rosewood style though, I would switch out my Burlwood bezels for the Rosewood.
i had the marchals on my 86 capri rs 5.0.
no covers for them but i was able to clean the lenses and paint the "cat heads" so they looked new again. cheapest i have seen them is about 200 a light on resto sites ect.... very rare but.....1000 bucks? yikes!
