After my GP got done with their cycle my amp gauge would fluctuate, bounce up and down. I read on here that can be cause by bad GP's. Well, I changed the GPR (standor?) and it still did it. Today changed out all the GP's and only one was bad. Anybody have a guess of why the bounceing of the amp needle? I have to get my intakes and uppipes done before I can test them again. Thanks

not sure but when my gp was working myn did the same, i changed my gpr and still no gp. so i have 8 new one i hope it gets them working!
Both my IDI and Stroke do it. It only does it every once in a while on this truck. If its dark the headlights will dim a little. The IDI it is an after glow from the controller. I assume the PCM is doing something similar based of certain parameters. But you know about assuming. It makes an a$$ out of u and me.
My IDI does that, Clicks while Voltage Bouncing around while Glow Plugs are Cycling. My PSD after Cycling the Voltages Jumps down a little and stays. Both of them Start with No Problem so I havent worried about it.
Powerstrokes aren't supposed to do that. Can you put a ohm meter on your ground wire to the GPR and watch when it is clicking? If it is actually clicking the ground on and off then your PCM is acting up. Maybe a loose aftermarket chip or corroded connections on it.
