Please help, need advice or help.

OK, i have a 1968 Ford F-100, its in good condition, but i would like it in better. The exhaust manifolds are leaking, and so are the gasgets on the top of the engine.(forget at the moment wat there called) So does any one have any tips, tricks, help ideas, or advice you could spare?
I would like to do the following to the truck.
  • add after market headers, (for looks)
  • replace the intake manifold.
  • replace the carb with after market one.(for looks)
  • new drive shaft.
  • new drive shaft splines.
  • add a posi rear axel.
  • lower 2-4".
  • paint.
Is any of this possible? And if so, wer would be a good place to get these items for a reasonablely cheap price.

F100 4x2
y 360 V8 engine
model year 1968
3.25 gears in rear axle
172 horse power
This is the info for the truck as it is right now.

Before we start pitching ideas in the air, how much money do you have to throw at it now, how much money will you have to throw at it over the next 12 months?

Typing ideas that one might do or try when you have no intention of doing is a waste of time.

A new carb is $300.00, intake another $300.00, headers more. You could spend a couple grand easily to go through your list.
