Nitrogen/Tires

Does anyone know if the 2011 F350 SRW comes with factory filled with Nitrogen or just good old air? Thanks

Its just good ol air. Many will air the tires up/down depending on the load being dealt with and that just does not work well with Nitrogen...

I checked my tires. They are filled with about 78% nitrogen. Works real well.

Nitrogen is done by dealer. Nitrogen will improve your ride and also make your tires last longer. I owned a small trucking company and nitrogen really helped on the tires wearing out. I only lose about a pound of air pressure every six months with nitrogen.

I suspect BMVM was making a funny. The air we breath (and put in our tires) is 78% nitrogen and 22% oxygen.

I disagree with this. How exactly is nitrogen supposed to improve the ride?

The only way it will help with tires wearing out is by leaking out a little bit slower, which can be rectified by simply checking tire pressures once a month.

Yeah I know it sounds crazy but I ran nitrogen in all my company trucks and my car/and rv. Check out Nitrofill.com for info.

There are only two advantages to Nitrogen in tires; Nitrogen tends to be drier (won't absorb/carry H2O which makes pressures more stable as temperatures rise) and Nitrogen molecules are larger so they don't permeate the tires (leak-down) as quick.
Putting a dryer on your compressed air supply works very, very much the same.
As it was said, we already are operating on 78% Nitrogen.

BTW, Nitrogen does absolutely nothing to improve your ride, all things (pressure) being equal.
Your tires are springs and the higher the pressure, the firmer the spring.
