Edge Insight?

my new insight wont connet to my 06 6.0, just a blank screen, installed the software and it will check for updates but no info or screen to set any thing on the insight. any body have any info on this. thaanks for any
help,

Your fuse for the OBD port might be blown. The Insight won't fire up until it sees power on the port.

Does it show you a splash screen? Or any startup text at all? If not, I don't know what to suggest except to call them.

Maybe try another vehicle for comparison?

no splash screen or any text, just the light thanks bill for the help, looks like i'll be calling in on monday. was really hoping to get it going, i'm going to Iowa next week and wanted to see what wall there was with this, thanks again.

I had to plug mine in a few times to get it to go. It seemed like it wasn't fully seated on the OBD. Does it work ok when you plug it into your computer (since you updated)? Also I once plugged it in with the truck off and for some reason it caused it to reset and malfunction. I don't really know - just thought I'd mention my experiences in case it helped. Bummer

when pluged in to the turck it just lights up key or off, same on the pc, it says it checks of updates in the fusen software but wont connect to the insight software, almots like it has no software in the dash unit ,

was it new?? and who was the amazon seller? if it was amazon themselves i wouldn't worry

otherwise if it was one of their resellers I still think you have recourse through Amazon if something winds up wrong with the unit

and Edge won't help because it wasn't a authorized Edge seller

but it probably just needs a trip back to your lap top to reload everything

I don't know ?I can't find directions online ansd I upgraded a couple of months ago to the new units so I don't even have my old software,, sorry
