tach wireing

sorry for all the threads inm posting but im looking to instal my aftermarket tach and was wondering how to wire it up. it has a red green white and black wire thanks

I think black ground , red 12 volt source , white dash lights , green neg side of coil....Lew

thanks for the info but there seems to also be a ornge wire i just uncovered. it also has a shift light if that matters and were would the das light wire be the easyest to wire in thanks

Should be able to find the dash light wire at the fuse box , i would go to summit & look up the tack & get the wiring diagram from there site.....

Yeah most tacks like auto meter are set for 8 cly , if you use it on a 6 or 4 one of the loops needs to be cut , so if you have a V8 and none of the loops are cut you should be good ....
