I'm not gonna lie, that article was worthless! It didn't address anything or answer anything! Not your fault, tardster, just very poor writing on the subject. Thanks for the link though.
It didn't tell you what the shortage was but it does say it only effects a small percentage of vehicles. I wouldn't pay any attention to stuff like this.
I personally think the delay is intentional to help move out the leftover 2010's at the end of the year. When the '11's are available who would want a 10?
The 2011's will be the best yet on an ever improving line of trucks!!!
I would have to say that this is incorrect, considering I drove an 11 5.0L Lariat 4x4 this morning. They had about 5 of them hiding on the back of the lot. I have to say it blows the 5.4 outta the water. Finally a motor with enough power so the 6 spd doesn't have to gear hunt. I can't wait to drive the EB, I told the saleman to call me as soon as they showed up.

This would be a low down thing for Ford to do, and just doesn't make sense. They will have no problems selling the 2010s because they will continually offer greater rebates until they are gone. Pickups in general do not sit on dealer's lots, they are quick to sell. Additionally, Ford would lose a lot of customers by making them wait until every last 2010 model was sold. While I'm a die hard Ford guy, that isn't true with many F150 owners, they will go with whoever gives them the best options and price.
