Back up lights

so i bought some little cheap 55w driving lights to use as better back up lights...

so i installed them today

see nothing fancy and no new holes were drilled

ill take some night pics when i aim them later and post those sometime...

i plan on eventually connecting them to the factory back up lights so i wont have 500 switches

and yes i have tied the wires up out of the way since taking the pics

I have these. I like them because they have these funky brackets are large cable ties, so they don't need holes drilled. They can be mounted to holes as well. They also have a utility type lense that makes them more of a flood light instead of having a beam like driving lights. I had mine connected to the back up lights, but didn't like it that way. I would leave them on a switch. I don't want to always use them and there are times when I want to have them on without having the truck in reverse. I got might at A'zone for 20 bucks.

hitokori I think those lights you have use the MR16 bulb, if so you can change them to any number of light patterns, just don't buy the bulbs in the auto dept. go to lighting dept at your favorite home improvement store or wally world

As soon as time permits, I have a set of cheap lights that I'll be doing the same with. My plan is to wire them up so that they are only on when in reverse AND the high-beams are on.

LMC Truck Parts - Page 65

I've been considering picking up the bumper with the extra reverse lights molded in, I thought it was pretty slick. My current bumper is pretty beat. Not that the way you have it set up is bad, just thought i'd post up an alternative.

That bumper is pretty cool. I kinda like it. It seems to me it would look better on F250 and F350 trucks or at least 4wd F150.

I have never seen those bulbs used on any automotive lights before. I don't see them at the autoparts stores either.

You don't have to do that. I believe you. Just haven't seen it before.
