hood hinge difference

hood hinge difference
started working on my hood hinges by first unsiezing them, was building a mock up for my custom hinges when suddenly something in my back of my mind told me to measure the top hinge arm and check the mid fifties book to see if there right for the truck, well someone switched them once upon a time because there 6 1/4 long with a 5/8 hole which indicates there for a `56 not a `55!! DOOH!! now here comes my question, what else is different in this hinge? are the lever mounting pins in the same location between the `55 and `56? anybody have pictures of both hinges side by side?

I found a couple of graphics of each hinge on pg 87 of an older Midfifties catalog. I'd have to go out in my parts barrel to pull out a slant cab hinge...I may do it but it won't be today. Hopefully this helps...

yeh, in the mid 50`s book it looks like the pivots are in different locations but its also just a sketch, looked at a few other sites and they either have no picture or there showing the same picture for both.
