Truck was smoking white and oil/coolant was coming out of the exhaust.
Did the egr delete and a new oil cooler.
Well I started the truck, herd a bad hissing got out and the up pipe is leaking like crazy. Any trick to get them to not leak? I thought I had it sealed pretty good.
Another thing my CEL instantly came one. Egr delete did this? Or is there something I forgot to connect. Hard to figure out what codes are on there since I don't have a scanner
Disconnect the up pipe from the manifold on both sides. Get it aligned with the turbo and clamped on THEN connect it to the manifolds.
Make sure you have the hose from the MAP sensor to the intake plugged in (passenger side of intake). I missed this on mine and wouldn't build boost...which was the sign.
If you did the egr delete you now need a set of custom tunes to
1. Cancel the CEL
2. Program the cooling fan to operate normally. A number of people have overheated due to the delete and no tunes.
Up pipe, or y-pipe? Just did this 4 times. My hissing was coming from the y-pipe. It would hiss, and howl, and make demonic wailing noises, and it did it different each time I put it back together wrong. If it's the y-pipe, how I finally got it, was to pull the turbo back off, and scrape everything spotless, smear hi-temp silicone on both sides (not sure if I should tell anyone to do this or not - your choice), kept the turbo bolts loose, and pulled the pipe into place with one hand and tighted the clamp wth the other. The other place I had grief was the egr flange. The gasket slipped out of it twice even though I siliconed it the second time and was very careful.

Any info would be great thanks
Some have suggested to leave the bolts holding the turbo down loose while you hook up the up pipe to the turbo, then tighten the bolts to turbo.
I did not have any bolts holding the turbo down when I connected the up pipe.
I checked the clamp quick this morning and it was loose. So when I get home I will make sure it's tightened down good and see what happens I will let you guys know.
