Should be next to the passenger side tow hook if yours has the cord from the factory.

I'd check your window sticker to see if you have it. If you don't know where it is, check the TECH FOLDER and follow the link to view your window sticker.

Should say "Engine Block Heater."

Your truck has the block heater but it may not have the cord. The block heater "option" is for the cord, nothing more. I'd ask your dealer about getting a block heater cord if you want to.

Remember that the block heater isn't necessary unless it gets below -9° F.

Depending on what state you live in, the option is either "no charge" or has a MSRP of $75. Most of the northern states include the option for free.

right, I'm pretty sure that the block heater and cord come on all off-the-lot trucks anywhere near an area that needs a plow. I can't quote where I read that, but I've seen it more than once.

Hell, I live in DFW, where most people don't know what a snow plow looks like. Mine came with the cord.

maybe someone is confused. I live in Arizona and mine came free and installed. We are very lucky if we see 40 degrees during the winter.

I know -- how weird is that. It snows a lot in PA! I spent my first 12 years near Oil City and I can remember how much snow we got. And this year you guys are getting hammered! I saw Randolph, NY got 47 inches as of a few days ago.

Here are the states that receive the option:
Standard in AK, CO, IA, ID, ME, MI, MN, MT, ND, NH, NY, SD, VT, WI, and WY
