engine bogs down

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-16-03 AT 08:07 PM (EST)]When I put the transmission into 1st or Reverse, The engine seems to be bogging down, or a loss of horses. What could be causing this extreme load on the engine? Does anybody know? Also when I pull the codes, I get "77" Which is operator error, What could be causing this code to come up? I also get "31" and "34". They have to deal with the EGR Valve, and I just put a brand new sensor on, so would the codes mean that the Valve itself is probably shot?
Also does anyone have a used set of 4.10 gears, and a locker for a 10.25 rear end they want to get rid of?

I have now replaced the map sensor, and nothings changed. I still get code 34 and 77

engine bogs down

sometimes, an auto tranny's solenoids can go bad which may cause the torque converter to lock up way too soon. check to see if this may be your problem.
