I'm thinking about getting a new Ranger so I have something to drive while I fix up my '83 (and something to drive that will hopefully last me the next 25 or 30 years ). I was looking in to getting a new supercab truck with the XL package... my question is, are rear seats (jump or bench, or whatever) included with the XL package, or do they have to be ordered special?
I know it's late, but thanks for the response! A related question: Does the Ranger XLT have a chrome delete option?
I know it sounds weird, but I prefer the black plastic of the XL, but with the options I want on it, the XLT (which would come standard with my preferred options) is only a few hundred dollars more. I just don't like the chrome on it.
As for the rear jump seats, when I factory ordered my 2010 Ranger XL regular cab, I also did an online "build & price" for a Supercab. As I recall, the rear jump seats on the Supercab can be deleted, at a cost saving. The rear seat delete was worth $350.00 off here in Canada, you may want to check on the Ford.com website to confirm.
If the chrome delete option would entail painted metal bumpers instead of chrome ones might want to reconsider. Not fun to repaint/touchup when they start pitting and rusting. Mine started rusting when still under warranty were repainted and once again after warranty expires are rusting again. Salted roads in this area are a killer in spite of power washing it numerous times throughout the winter.
I thought for sure I had another PDF around somewhere, not the normal on line Ford info. It gave all the changes and showed a really limited selection of options. No Sport, no L/S, all get the 8.8 rear end. You pick the body and motor and get usually one rear gear to pick from. Wonder what I saved that file as?
