Leaking above the tailpipe
Any typical problems in that area I should be concerned with or is it just a matter of tightening or replacing a hose? Hopefully, I can just tighten a hose clamp, but I haven't been able to get a good look up there yet.
Thanks,
Sam
I thought it would be as simple as removing the jack cover to see in there, but it looks like it's a bit more complicated than that. What is involved with taking that side panel off to get to the hoses like that? When I was looking at it further it looks like the coolant is coming from inside the truck, so no simple work from the outside.

Thanks!
It's like a puzzle trying to figure out which piece comes out first.
The side trim panel pulls out from a number of quick clips
once you remove all the things that help hold it in.
Before you start:
Remove the 3rd row seat and the jack access door.
1) remove the floor sill step pad from the cargo doors (it pulls up)
it holds the bottom edge of the side panel and rear carpet down.
2) Partially remove the floor trim piece under the 2nd row seat,
it holds the carpet and side panel down. I think I only had to pull
up enough to clear the side trim panel
3) Twist the floor mounted 3rd row seat belt bracket 180* so you
can lift up the edge of the carpet along the bottom of the side panel
so you can find the 2 mounting tabs and screws.
You only need to pull back an inch or two on the carpet.
4) Remove the plastic screw from each floor mounting point.
They didn't want to unscrew so I had to use pliers to lift
them so the threads would engage.
I think I ended up just yanking 1 out that didn't want to cooperate.
5) Partially remove the 2nd row doorstep sill trim,
it holds the side panel down.
6) Remove the upper trim piece on the cargo door side pillar.
It sits on top of the back edge of the side panel.
7) I had to unbolt the 2nd row seat belt attachment point in order to
pull out the upper trim piece just behind 2nd row door.
I could work the trim piece out with the seat belt attached.
This should allow you to pull out the side panel completely now that
nothing else is holding it in except the clips.
It all goes back in MUCH faster.

panels since we don't want to break things. Once you get things
started you'll get better/more confident as you go. Once I decided
to remove everything it went pretty smooth.
I finally go to tearing into this thing (yes, I'm a master of procrastination). It isn't coolant, but rather A/C dye. I had to recharge the system this Spring and didn't put 2 and 2 together. Well, I have lots of fluid soaking into the rubber mat below the rear climate control system and I also noticed there is a bit of the dye under the A/C portion (evaporator?), but not the heater. I'm not sure what to do from here. I can't tear into the A/C because it is illegal to let the refrigerant go out (plus it would cost too much to refill). It was a pain to take that thing apart and would likely cost a ton to have Ford do it. Oh, what to do??!!??
Any help would be very nice. Thank you for the help you have all provided so far.
