Just bought a 1979 or Bronco in real good shape. but the motor is having some issues. i get it high. to start and run but it idles high. so i looked online and found that the idle screws are in the front of the carb on the left and right sides. does anyone have any tips on how to tune it so it wont idle high and keep stalling out??
this could be several things. make shure you don't have any vacuum leaks, check timing.
your carburator could be your problem like you said.but theres other things can cause the same symptoms you are describing.make shure that all your vacuum lines on the carb are on and not cracked, check timing with light per book.you can spray starting fluid around your intake to check for vacuum leaks as well as the bottom of your carb, but do it with engine cold,if there is a leak you will hear a change in idle.I hope this will help!
i got plenty of snow here,i have the same prob,im running around in a front wheel drive and need my 4wd. I'm in the middle of an engine swap as we speak.
