96 bronco trans problem
I just did an engine change in my bronco, when I put it all back together park is the only gear that works. Fluid reads normal on the dipstick. Because park locks the wheels, I know it's not the transfer case. Seems like the torque converter isn't connected to transmission.

Cleanning connectors fixed mine.
- PCM 10mm socket
- Larger of two connectors below master cylinder against fire wall.
- Loosen 8mm bolts on heat shield and lift shield up and back. It's on the passenger rear of transmission.
- Throw cable over transmission.
- Disconnect MLPS
- Now you can see both MLPS and solenoid connectors to clean well.
