I left a message on the 460 thread but thought I would try here. I am putting the 460 in my 73 F-350 and have ordered a flex plate for the bellhousing and C-6. But I found that I need what is called a block plate and i have not been able to find a source. I have googled and it comes up with everything but a bellhousing block plate. I ask the company I bought the flex plate from but they did not have one.
are talking of the plate between the 460 and the c-6, with the cut out for the starter and crank for the flywheel. if so, i think i have it in my garage from my 78 460 with an automatic.
Steve, I believe this is a heavy sheet metal plate with cut outs that goes between the geared flex plate and the engine and it has to come from a 460. I don't think it makes a difference between years. I have a 1986 engine.
then i woulds say i have it. i used the 460, but not the c6. i used the manual instead and those plates differed so i am pretty sure it is in the garage. might be easier to call me and i will snap a picture of it and send it to you over the phone
