vacuum issues

have a 1991 f250 that I bought a week ago. This is not my everyday driver I bought it for plowintg and to have as a work truck. I notcied last week that there is a canister behing my battery in the shape of a cylinder that is missing several hose. I believe that there are three hoses related to this cylinder that are missintg and at least 1 is pulling a vacuum. just forrad of that there is another canister or manifold made of plastic that has two small red hoses missing. does anyone know waht these are and can you tell me where the hoses sho8ld go or provide me a diagram. I've tried to google with no luck and plan to buy a manual this week. I have pictures posted on another site.

Ive alao notcised that the truck idels a little rough and that it seems like I'm burning too much fuel,

Smittty403, first, what engine are we talking about? 351? 460? 6.9L IDI?

Second, you're posting in the wrong forum for a 1991 F-250. This is the 1999+ Super Duty section.
