Traction bar?

j/w what does a traction bar do? i have a 99 f-250 and i just put my suspension lift on about a month ago and it just looks like a bar to me. what does it do? what is its purpose?

Traction bar?

It limits axle wrap by keeping the axle from moving forward or backwards. Axle wrap is caused by blocks used for lift, soft springs, or just a lot of torque, among other things.

im talking about in the front. i dont have blocks in the front. i have a traction bar. its right behind my drag link.

Traction bar?

That would be your trac bar, sometimes referred to as pan-rod bar. It's job is to keep your front axle centered under your truck.

Traction bar?

i beleive they r in the superduties because they have a type of crossover steering. they reduce the stress that would otherwise be placed on the little stock 2 leaf spring packs. Also it helps to make the 'duty feel more carlike with it's solid leaf sprung axle
