Need a Little Help From the Crew Cab Guys!

Hey guys,

I am getting my new to me CC in driving condition. What I am looking for is any sources for crew cab specific parts, or what can interchange with srew cabs for the rear section. Specifically, I am looking for parts for the rear doors.

Thanks,

Nick

I've seen one set of rear doors in my local junk yard. Don't know if you would have that much luck that far north, but it may be worth a shot. If you are willing to pay for shipping, I can salvage 'em if they are still there.

Crew cabs round here have been picked pretty clean, and most of them are 87-91s.

I've been looking for over a year for a set of rear door panels along with the levers, and armrests with no luck. I'm going to start looking for a different door handle in the JY that will work and just make my own panels; they're pretty much just flat, except at the top where they turn and hold the anti rattle strip on.

The JY by me has/had (haven't been there in over a week) a crew cab in the yard with a red interior. If it's still there, LMK what parts you guys are looking for. I see door panels, levers, arm rests (been told the rear arm rests are the same as an Escort, but don't know for a fact)... What else? I don't know which day this week I'd be going, most likely when it's not so bitter cold out (Thurs, Fri, Sat or Sun).

Rear arm rests and door handles look awful familiar from an '86 Ranger I used to own, so check out the old Rangers and Bronco IIs for those.

You can use doors all the way up to a 97 and their related parts. The biggest difference is the 80-86 has little non opening wing windows. 87-97 it is just one big window

Thanks guys, I did not know if Escorts/rangers might interchange on the arm rests. The handles looked strangely familiar, but I was not sure if that was all that would go. Only have seen 1 85 in a junk yard, and it was missing the handles.

Okay, I went to the junkyard and learned a little bit this morning. The arm rests on an Escort/Ranger ARE NOT a direct bolt in. They are longer than the CC ones. Now I am back to square one!

I never made it to the JY last week, but if still need arm rests and don't mind them being red, LMK. I'll be going tomorrow for sure. If you need anything else, PM or post it up in here.

Here's the old girl that the parts were pulled off of.

If anyone still needs crew cab specific stuff let me know and I will pull it. I can't say how long it'll be in the yard for, so if you need something, best to let me know ASAP. The truck was a conversion and has bucket seats up front with a neat center console that holds speakers on either side. Pretty cool if you ask me. The rear doors still have the panels and inside door handles. Again, if there is anything anyone is interested in, LMK!
