2004 6.0, stock with 89k miles...My Excursion suddenly began running poorly as I was stopped in my drive to get my mail. I had to put it in 4lo to get it back up a slight incline to my house. Now it won't start. Its showing code P1633. I checked my FICM and it showed 11.7 volts input and 47.9 output with the ignition on. The input voltage was 11 volts while cranking with 23 volts output. I had the FICM repaired at Circuitmedics.com and now have 48.6 volts output when cranking. Yet, the motor won't start and I'm still getting code P1633. The batteries are fairly new, fully charged Optima Yellows and all maintenance is current with no visible problems.
What, specifically, is code P1633 and what does it apply to? All I can find is basically what my scanner states...power to low to keep memory alive...what memory?
Any ideas? I want to do all I can to try to fix this myself before I give in an tow it to the dealership.
