1999 F-250, 166k miles , runs starts always , everything works, problem is plugged a akcron ?? code reader, into it, said it could not read it , is there aa fuse for this test unit, and where is it,, . Also heater morotr runs, all the vent elevation work, I can feel hot water behind the core, but none coming thru the vents only cold,, the A/C is not on the heat sellector is all the way on the hot side,, any help work really be appreciated ,, thank you in advance,, Scott,, Prescott Az.
Dude, I don't know if you typed from a cell phone or what, but you need to edit that so it can be read and understood. If you're at a computer, please don't type like you're writing a text message. That looks like a lot of incoherent babbling.
check to make sure the heater hoses are hot, and the thermostat is working, dash gauge up in the warm area.... if you only get cold air, pull the **** off the hot-cold selector and see that the shaft is turning. If it is, and no hot air, you might have a bad blend door. Electric motor controls a door taht mixes hot and cold air to get the "warm" you want. Motor is under the radio, above the transmission hump. You can see it if you take off the plastic molding. Motor turns a gear box/ crank to move the door. YOu can have bad motor, bad gearbox, bad crank, broken door. ---- there is a fuse for the code reader.. i foget which one.. should be listed in operators book. I think its also controls the wipers?
Ok, I'll try that in the morning, look for the motor that is , and I will also look at cigarette lighter too.. Do not know what you mean there fairlane 68,did not mean to offend ya,, I don't type very well . but at least someone understood my problems , and thank you for replying so soon, I can really use the help.. I wasn't offended...I just couldn't understand exactly what you were asking. And there are others who are 10 times worse, maybe slow down and type, or use the spell checker.
