Need to ID the rear axle under my 1986 F-350 4XD Crew Cab single rear wheels. It is huge so I'm sure it is a 10.25 but semi or full floating not sure.
Were the Dana rear axles for Duallys only?
I have to change the axle oils seal and bearings and need to know which seals and bearings to get and if I need the hub tool and I also need a new brake backing plate the current one is missing the bottom 1/4.
If its an F-350, I think all 1 tons came with the full floating axle. TO make sure take the tire off and if theres a large hub sticking out, then its full floater
Yep, I should have come back and posted that I had figured it out. It is the 10.25" full floating. Been looking for the ratcheting nut socket. Surprised how many places don't know what it is and really hoping I don't have to lay out the price Snap-on and MAC tools want for one.
Wish Chilton would have given a manufacture for the tool numbers they provide.
