4x4 problems
I've read the help section about 4x4 system. I didn't see much on the electronic shift 4x4 system. When I switch to 4 hi you hear a clicking in the dash. The light will not come on. The silenoids on the firewall will click sometimes but not all the time. The diaphram on the axle will move in and out sometimes. The motor on the transfer case will not move at all. It will click and try to move but thats it. I took it off the transfer case to check it out. Is there a link between the silenoids under the hood to the transfer case motor causing the problem? Or is the motor what tells the silenoids to work? Is the motor bad again? I replaced this motor 2 yrs ago, I thought this was the problem I guess it just fixed it for the winter. Last year it would work some of the time. Any ideas? The truck is an 03 xlt super crew with a 5.4
