ez there super....He is trying to help. If your dealer gave you the TSB number and you can post it, he can verify and fill in the blanks. He can not find a TSB that does not appear in the system
Regards
Edit: as you can see, Mo surely does not need my help
i didn't mean to come across harsh, upset or however i came across. i'm only relaying info.
Well we have established from a known reliable source that no such TSB exists. A Ford master tech has told us it does not exist and I know from a reliable source of my own what TSBs have been issued yet we still seem to have a somewhat hostile insistence that it exists. I don't know what to tell you other than a "knock sensor" in a diesel would be a very interesting thing to perfect.
I just go the TSB 10-23-9 flash update and I see a large improvement in the transmission during shifting. before shifting was harsh. I do see on my TSB listing the knox sensor not sure if it help with anything in that area but I do no the Turbo has smoother acceleration when I push the peddle to the floor. I am so far happy with the new TSB flash update.
All you guys talking about the improvement in shifting is making me antsy to get it done myself. I was planning to hang out until February when IDS v71 is released and get it done at the same time they adjust my fuel tank size. But... I would like to get rid of that crappy low-speed shifting when cold.
Good I thought I was nuts I definitely get the hard shifting from 2-3 and 3-4 when the tranny temp is not up to normal operating temp. Is it smoother shifting between those gears?
yes shifting is smoother after the TSB Flash was preformed
How many mines when you noticed a difference?
I would guess the transmission would have to go through it's learning process again? (or whatever it does)
Spoke with the service department and it is a NOx sensor. There is no specific TSB for a NOx sensor, but the latest TSB 10-23-9 with a flash to correct various issues for trucks built on or before 11-15-10 does mention the NOx sensor.
I too am suffering from Nox sensor issues. My F350 is new, (just went over 3K miles) when I noticed the check engine light. Based on the dealership's info, the check engine light doesn't come on until over 3K miles? Wierd or coincidence? I have yet to see if I need the TSB flash for the transmission. I just joined this forum (1st Diesel truck too) and really don't know the ins & outs of the 6.7.
Since I am new (in all aspects) what are all the current concerns with the 6.7?
- Transmission (shifting)
- NOx sensor
- Clunking/excessive noise for 4wd (transfer case, driveline or front axle)
- ???
Does anyone have some more insight for the green horn?
We made 18 litters / 100 Kms on 3000 mile trip to US because of knocking a Dealer changed the knock sensor coming home it was 28 litters / 100 Kms they said we had to use 3 tanks of fuel Why?
