Hey gang I am in the market for a set of side step bars as a Christmas present. I have a link attached below for the style I want but I am trying to find them just a bit cheaper. If anyone can help with this I would certainly appreciate it. They don't have to be N-Fab but that is what I have been looking at when comparing to other bars.
I ran a Google search and came up pretty empty as far as finding a company that makes a product as nice as N-Fab's.
Are you needing just steps, or is the full bar the necessity? If I recall, you already have a retractable step on the truck for the bed, right?
Yeah I have a step for the bed that flips back under the bed when not is use. I just don't like my big rails down the side and I have a big dent in one of them from where someone hit me.
N-Fabs product looks like it offers a decent amount of protection...kind of like a rock guard. This would be overkill for my uses, but they sure are nice.
Coskid your killing me!!! those are the steps ive been looking at for a long time. cant wait for the pics (after christmas)
If I can find them for like $280 then I might get my black bull bar to go with them. Christmas is going to be good this year!!!!!!
I did find the Go Rhino product that is similar for $309 with shipping earlier today so thats not too bad. But I don't know much about those bars and I have talked t people who have the N-Fab bars and they have all been really impressed with the quality.
Well it looks like I found a decent price on Go Rhino Hooped Step bars but I am curious about something. It is asking how much lift I have on the truck so I was wondering if I have to have a lift in order to install these or will it be ok with my leveling kit and rear block?

Without knowing any better, I'm going to guess that they factor in the height of the "lift" so that they can determine how low your steps need to be. Just a guess though.
On a side note, saw you turning onto Glenside from Forest this morning, company magnet on and all. I was waiting at the light to turn onto Forest.
Oh yeah I was taking my parents to the airport otherwise I am not over in that area so early. Yeah the company signs are almost always on the truck but I take them off for pictures and when I am doing things I shouldn't be.
Anyway thanks for the info I didn't think about that on the drop in the steps. I just figured it was a standard drop.
The bars on my truck now are Ford and I will be removing them and not sure after that. One is in perfect shape but the other has some damage. At some point last summer someone hit me and didn't say anything.
