Any idea what the load/weight rating is for the GR steps? Their website says nothing about it. Most steps state the weight they will bear, and I'm not wanting something that bends every time you step on it (like a LOT of steps I've looked at on other peoples trucks). I know the OEM steps are pretty sturdy...
i would say you dont have to worry about it with the go rhino steps, they are made to protect you rocker panels when off roading and not fold up like OEM does.
I think the Go Rhino steps are made with DOM tubing, maybe 1/4" walls or so. They shouldn't sag at all. As 1bad67sbf said, you could probably put the weight of the truck on them without severe damage.
FYI, I got a response from GR. The above style steps are rated for 300 lbs. The similar looking N-fab steps are rated for well over 400 lbs, but cost roughly $40.00 more (after shipping costs are figured for either company). I'll probably be going with the ones that will hold my brother-in-law's weight!!!
Go Rhino steps in and on the truck pictures to follow soon. I got them about a week before Christmas but didn't have time to install them until Christmas day. so far I love them. They were pretty easy to install to just had to make sure all the old parts where out of the way and everything went right back in the same slots as the OEM steps.
The quality is very nice. If you stand on the step and bounce then you can feel it move but other then that it does not move at all. I love how these are tucked back closer to my truck and are not in the way I guess.
