A couple of weeks ago I ordered a brand new set of OEM Ford 7.3L valve covers. They came from the factory painted black. I had them triple chrome plated and they look awesome! I have not installed them yet, as I will be doing several upgrades when I do. If anyone is interested I can email you photos of the finished product. I really like the Hypermax cast aluminum covers but did not want to part with the $750.00 price tag. As it turned out, doing these with new covers, chrome plating, shipping, etc. was just under $500.00.
Just post here a few times. Tell us about your truck. That should take 5 or 6 posts right!?!
Well, now that you mention it; I ordered my truck in December 1999 from the truck plant in Kentucky. I got it in January 2000. In 2000 I built my own A pillar guage set up with pyro, boost and transmission temp guages. After I got some baseline data I started doing some light mods. I use a Predator programmer and have a Spectre 4" intake system and a Diamond Eye 4" turbo back exhaust. I recently installed a V-10 transmission cooler and a Dieselsite coolant filtation system. All new suspension components and a set of Toyo Open Country 30.5" mudders. The old gal has 204,000 miles on her and I would drive it to Alaska tomorrow and not worry one bit.
Good looking stuff. I think if/when I pull my engine, i will have an oil pan done up like that, should prevent the rusting issue along with being purty......
