hi there on my 1980 f150 my caliper seems to be missing a screw (1) is were my flexhose meets the caliper and the arrow behind is the bleeder screw im pretty sure (2) is an empty thread, i went to the junkyard today to try to replace the part but there was only 2 ford trucks one was buried past the caliper in the mud and the other had tires on it(and no steering wheel) and i didnt have a jack i didnt want to go ahead and bleed the system just incase this is mabey were the bleeder is and im wrong about the arrow or mabey its just a way for air to get back into the system and make my efforts pointless. looking at the brakes im amazed i drove this thing home there were 3 leaks in the hard lines 2 in the hoses and the master cylinder needed to be replaced. any info would be great thanks
Didn't know that's what #2 was. I just changed my brakes a month ago or less, and I guess it was already screwed in, lol. Never even noticed them on these set ups. Learn something everyday.
BTW, had you been using it with the bleeder screw missing?
the bleeders in there never been removed and is it bad it i ran it without #2 missing? also i went to bleed them today and the bleeder on my rear passenger drum is stripped i cant turn it at all any suggestions?
those are special hold down bolts and if you run it with out the slide block can come out and may loose the caliper !
on the rear you will need to replace the wheel cylinder cause that is where the bleeder screw is attached to !

You have one more chance. Spray some penetrating oil on it, and get some vise grips and squeeze them on it, and then tap the vise grips lightly with a small hammer. It will break off or come out. If it breaks off, you will have to replace the wheel cylinder like the other poster mentioned. If you get it loose, you can get a new bleeder screw from the store.
P.S. Before you try the vise grips, if you have a 1/4" drive socket set with deep wheel 6 point sockets, you can try one of them first.
