4x4 dash lights

what does it mean when both 4 low and 4 high are blinking on the dash and when its in 4 low or 4 high it does not read on the dash.

It means your 4X4 system needs service.

Thanks for not telling me what kind of Ranger you have, I'm totally clueless that way.

And sometimes just totally clueless any way.

it is a 1998 extra cab 4.0 auto trans

Knowing what kind of Ranger he has makes no difference to solving the problem

4x4 needs serviced no matter what year or engine he has.

i looked under the truck tonight and saw that there is a line going to the front hub assy. that is broken on both sides maybe thats the problem ?
