Welcome to the forum and the Chapter.
It seems we are getting quite a few people from Crossville area these days.
Stick around and post up often. You will see we have a good time here and have quite a few visitors as well. Everyone is welcome.
Take a look at the other thread I started also, welcoming you to the chapter.
Yeah Crossville is growing fast. I've only lived here 6 years and there has been tons of change.
What is GTG...? lol
You gotta love the Plateau. Almost always a few degrees cooler then anywhere around haha not always the best in winter, but worth it in the summer I reckon.

GTG = Get To Gether (sort of)
I've stayed in Crossville (either Cumberland Mountain State Park or lately the Beanpot Campground) on my way to the Smokies!
I lived in the State park for 2 weeks and Bean Pot for 2 months when we first moved down here looking for a house haha. A 30ft travel trailer gets small fast.
You're not telling me anything.
We lived in out 36' 5th wheel thru 8 months of the wife's first pregnancy in NJ. And again for another 14 months when I moved to Johnson City. That was with a kid and a dog. Needless to say I spent alot of my time outside. LOL.
Wow living with a pregnant woman for 8 months in a tin can..You've earned my respect.. haha.
Depends who you retire with I reckon. I was 12 at the time all this happened, so it was an adventure the first month or so, but having friends that only stay for a weekend sucks. If you like riding bikes and playing with Hot Wheels you can enjoy it haha
Glenn, No. I loved every minute of it but the difference was when you are full timing you can move to stay in good weather. I couldn't. Remember I said I was in NJ! LOL.
Many a night were spent outside in the snow sitting by the fire.
FYI, Don't get drunk by yourself by the fire when there is snow on the ground. It is a cold cold walk to bed.

Is there a good time to be RVing in NJ? My brother is working on a project near Pikeville and living at the Beanpot right now. He might be up there for a few years.

Welcome neighbor. I know that feeling, the wife and I lived in our 27' trailer at the campground just a bit further up Peavine road back in 2005 for three months while I was building my house here.
You'll be glad you joined this site as there is a wealth of knowledge and willingness to help here.
