Running Rough
Just bought an 88 f150 4x4 5.0 fi with the 4spd w/od. Its not inspected yet but I drove it around maybe 10 miles so far. Yesterday as I was driving to the garage under 3/4 throttle, the truck just bogged down. It still ran and started but it felt like it was running out of gas but there was still plenty. It was raining out so Im thinking the excess moisture was at fault. The truck is old so I might try an ignition tune up with new coils, wires, plugs? Or is there something else I should try first. There are no check engine lights or other warning lights on

I agree with Rocking, basic tune up, Spark Plugs, Wires, possibly check Coil, and Distributor Cap/Rotor, Air and Fuel Filters.. Then If it still acts up, check the Timing, and then move onto sensors like TPS, IAC, CTS, and O2

I was hoping that I didn't burn a ring or something in the engine. It idles fine but 2k-3k and higher it sounds boggy. I noticed the oil pressure was a little low too but then restarted the truck and it read normal
