I have a 93 van and the fan stopped working.there is no noise at all when I move the lever from off to heat. Can anyone help with some ideas where to start?
This could be anything from the switch to the blower motor---have to start at one end looking for where the power seems to stop or is no longer present.
I'd start at the blower motor itself to see if power is present at the connection there first. My WAG would be that the age of your van might have something to do with it----especially if its the original blower motor. They're typically no more than $70 new from most anywhere including Ford dealers with discount.
This one listed isn't as cheap as I've seen them but its still well worth the eventual price. I've also read in these forurms complete schematics are available online as well--cheaper and much quicker needless to say.
Thank you both for the replys. The heat started working on it's own so I think the problem is the blower{ short somewhere} One would think that Ford could design these things to last more than the 500'000 miles that are on the van. Thanks again for the help.
