This could be anything from the switch to the blower motor---have to start at one end looking for where the power seems to stop or is no longer present.

I'd start at the blower motor itself to see if power is present at the connection there first. My WAG would be that the age of your van might have something to do with it----especially if its the original blower motor. They're typically no more than $70 new from most anywhere including Ford dealers with discount.

If not the blower I'd highly suggest looking on eBay for an authorized factory electical manual like this: 1993 Ford Econoline EVTM Electrical Manual - eBay (item 380247363685 end time Dec-27-10 12:55:29 PST) These manuals are not only very helpful and but so far beyond all the Haynes or similar shop manuals not specific to your vehicle.

This one listed isn't as cheap as I've seen them but its still well worth the eventual price. I've also read in these forurms complete schematics are available online as well--cheaper and much quicker needless to say.

Hope this is even a little helpful!

You should clean the blower fan/box cavities -- don't be surprised if you find obstacles wedged there. Mice love that spot.

heat not working

Thank you both for the replys. The heat started working on it's own so I think the problem is the blower{ short somewhere} One would think that Ford could design these things to last more than the 500'000 miles that are on the van. Thanks again for the help.
