Well if that is the least of my worries I will be okay. The 4x4 just got rebuild but I am not sure what the lady meant by that if it was the transfer case or just hubs. But I am looking forward to the vehicle.

If it's anything like on a 2000+ model Windstar, I never want to do mine. I had to fix one on my Grandparents van, and it was like over a foot deep into the center counsel. I had to use a 10" and 3" extension just to access the screws. Then I dropped them both, and had to dig them out, then getting the new one back into place, and lining up the little wheel with the slot when you can't see what your doing....ERGG!

Before you buy it check to make sure the heat and a/c works. Where you are at the heat is most important now. You can work on the a/c when it's warmer if you need to.

Yeah it works right know the biggest thing is the drive train and motor so it sounds like people should stay away from the sohc 4.0l

With 250,000 miles it has passed the survivability test. If the engine runs and sounds good and the trans is good also I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Does the seller have the service records? That would tell you how it was maintained. You could go to Ford and get an OASIS report also. If the price is right and the seller is honest you're in good shape.

Yeah that is true I am pretty mechanically inclined so stuff like ball joints and so on are not a big deal that stuff is all maintnece. going to get it for 1500.00 and she has all the records.
