For a while now my brakes have been messed up. Iv rebuilt the rears, and fronts are decent. The problem is when i step on the brake it makes a loud swooshing noise and brakes are slightly there, then if i let off and go at the pedal again its so hard to push i almost have to double foot it. Im always cautious of my travel distance, and can always downshift to assist the brakes. Today on the way home and sitting at a light i noticed a hissing sound comming from under the dash, i looked and have confirmed that the sound is comming from where the brake rod goes through the firewall. It does it at idle and while driving. I assume my Brake Booster is gone?
If so Id like to do the Hydroboost conversion. Could someone give me a list of parts to pull at my local junk yard? Is it a direct bolt on mod?
2x. There are lots of post on how to convert to hydroboost, just type in hydroboost on the search and you will find all the info you need. Good luck with the conversion, give us a report when your done and let us know how it turned out.

Plan on putting a new master cylinder on too, I've found that a lot of the times that the booster pukes it's because the seals are leaking in the m/c and have messed the booster diaphragm up.
I also have concerns about a lot of people that want to do a hydroboost conversion, in that unless your steel and rubber lines are in great shape, wheel cylinders and calipers as well, that the first time you go to hammer the brakes in a panic stop, that something else will give. One can have great output, but if it doesn't get to the wheels, it's useless.
