I just did mine about 5 minutes ago. There are several orange wires and I almost used the wrong one, because one of them has a red stripe that is very hard to see.
I went to Autozone and bought a Bussman Add-a-circuit part# BP/HHH-RP for $6.95, connected the wires, put a fuze in it and plugged it in to fuse slot 5, hit the E-brake and she went up to 1200RPM after about 5 seconds.
I did have to take a die grinder to the inside of the fuse panel cover to reshape some of the plastic dividers so it would fit over the "add-a-circuit", but it works great.
i did mine so long ago i can't remember which color wire i used. i know i used the BCP (Battery Charge Protect), so idle varies depending on alt load. the other option is the pto which goes to 1200 rpm and locks the torque converter.
all of the instructions are in the tech folder.
the way mine is hooked up i am using the e-brake as the switch, i have no upfitter switches and seen no need to add a switch
I was going to do mine. Then one morning when it was colder. After about 30 seconds the truck went straight up to 1000 rpms. It stays there until you hit the brake. I know it has the newest flash I wonder if that has something to do with it.
