radius arm mounts

i swapped a dana 60 front axle into my 77 bronco. i don't want to hack off the triangular mounts from my stock dana 44 if i don't have to. i fabricated some new mounts but don't like them as much as the original set up. does anybody sell these mounts? i would rather buy new mounts than mess up the 44 so i could sell it later. thanks

You might try Dynatrac. They are building 60's for pickups and Broncos. I'm not sure that they will sell the pieces, but it's worth a try.

I have a Dana 30 housing I'd be glad to cut up and send you the C bushing mounts for cheap.

It also might be a good time to dump the C bushings all together and go with multilink with heim joints. It will free up the bind that comes with the stock radius arms and C bushings.

What application did you use for the front end? Is it full width or did you cut it down? If I break many more 44 front axles, I may go with a full width 60 and a 14 bolt in the rear on mine.

thanks for the help. i'd be glad to take the mounts off your 30 anyday, just give me a price and we will work it out. the 60 goes like this, i purchased 79 f-350 60 at a boneyard for 600$. this was the most incredible find i've ever come across and wasn't going to pas it up! we kept the axle at full width and had to modify the coil spring mounts. they are about 3 or 4 inches away from the frame now and we rewelded them with the top of the bucket level with the top of the frame. we did this because the 14 bolt we have in the rear was relocated to accomidate chevy van leaf springs with a f-150 shackle flip. i can get measurements if you would like. i'm sure there is a easier way to do this kind of swap but the measurements were taken from a friend of ours that has a 60 in his 79 fullsize bronco. everything we have done so far is far from complete, but the reason we are doing this is because of 44 axle breakage and 9" axle breakage. as great as the original set up is, i want a totally bullet proof drivetrain that i can't break. it seems that i can break all sorts of drivetrain parts, hopefully this will solve my problems. thaks and feel free to e-mail me with your price on the 30 mounts.

i forgot to include that i already extended my radius arms and added 1" heim joints at the ends. this required homemade brackets at the frame. once again, none of this has been tested yet.

Wow, what size tires are you running and what type of off roading are you doing that an EB could possibly use a Dana 60 front end? I mean, wow. With a 14 bolt in the back and a 60 in front, are you worried about weight? I had a friend with a Chevy K-30 pick up with a 60 and 14 bolt and 35's with 454, never broke the 60. But I understand if you keep having to spend money on the 44.

we got such a good deal on the 60 and the 14 bolt that we couldn't pass it up. not to mention, we had a frame already sandblasted and prepped for a buildup. also, we already restored another 77 bronco sport from the frame up and this project with the 60 is going to be the final truck we build so we can concentrate on going wheeling instead building. probably going to run 40" swampers so we can tackle the ohio, pennsylvania terrain with no problems and have fun all day long.
