I've never met a ProComp owner who was happy with his purchase. Check the price of the Bridgestone Dueler A/T 32x11.50. I got a set recently at buy-3-get-1-free and they're great tires. The only ones I've had that compared were Michelin LTX A/Ts, but their ride was a little harsher. I just had to pay $30 for that soft ride, though - replaced one yesterday under warranty for a sidewall puncture.

I have always been a BFG mud terrain guy. I had a set of 32s and just got a set of 35s. 4wpw.com had an internet special on the BFGs, I don't know if it expired, but free shipping and if you spend 1000 you get 100 off. So I spent 1001.85 and it knocked me back to 901.85. I purchased a couple of other items not just the tire/wheel combo.
As far as Pro-Comp, well I also have not heard anyone say they are happy with them. They will get you by, but hey we are men, we always want more...right.

Id spend the money. You get what you pay for. I have had friends who ran ProComps, and they told me they sucked. Tires I refuse to skimp on. I have been a lifelong fan of Michelins (and they now produce BFG's, so either tire is a very solid choice). I also had a set of Goodyears on my '01 F150, and there were pretty decent all around. Im running Michelin A/T 31" on my bronco now, and I have absolutely no regrets.

Are we talking about the same tires? Pro comp makes outstanding tires. The reviews alone from places such as 4wheel magazine back them up. They scored well in the mud test and the rock crawling. There allterrains got 45 to 50 thousand miles of wear. I have several friends that run these tires and love them. The side walls are very strong and the mt and x terrain are great mud tires. I have run several different tire types on my trucks and I would say they are as good as any other tire I have run such as bfg etc, except for my favorite, super swamper. You just can not beat a swamper for traction but they do not last near as long.

I picked up a set of Kumho 31x10.5 Powerguard MT's in December, and they have been the best money I've ever spent on tires - they love the mud, and wear very well on pavement, wet or dry. I had BFG's AT's on the rear, and wasn't too impressed with them. They were a bit of a softer ride on the pavement, but didn't perform at all in the mud/snow for me. I don't mind feeling the road - for me it's an easy tradeoff for great offroad performance. Check out my gallery for shots in action.

Unfortunately, asking for opinions on tires is going to get you about the same result as asking if a blonde or a brunette is better looking. Everyone has their own opinion about what they are looking from in a tire. Some people are looking for a nice smooth, quiet ride. Others couldn't care less if the tires howl so bad on the road you can't hear a 1000 watt stereo if they can pull a truck through a 3 foot deep mud hole. Just like these tires, some people will say they are the best tires you can buy, and others will say they're so bad they shouldn't even be DOT approved.

Consider that they're 4-Wheel Parts Wholesaler's house brand of tire, and ask everyone what they think of 4WPW...

I'll stick with a national brand, blonde or brunette.

i decided to go with the 32x1150x15 BFG MT KM on black rock crawlers because i had heard better feedback on the BFGs and some of my friends run the BFGs and havent had any problems. Im a poor college student with bald tires that cant afford to have any problems while out on the weekend.
thanks again for all the info
