I got tired of my factory antenna always hitting the top of the entrance to my garage as I pulled in so I did a search for a shorter antenna. I found one on the SVTRaptor forum that looked like it would do the trick. It is a Craven Speed Stubby Antenna. I think it looks good on the truck and it was easy to install. I did not have any degradation in the radio picking up radio stations. I did see in some reviews that people did not have the same experience as I did. It may depend on where you live and how strong the signals are from the local radio stations. any way, here are some pics.
Yep got one too, tired of whacking the gasket on my overhead door and then hitting the lens on the opener.
Longer term, two things I've noticed are my reception is fine but degrades a little at 50 or so miles and it has developed a slight bend toward the rear of the truck as if from wind it seems?
They look a lot better than the whip.
Looks good. A word of caution for those considering this, especially if you have a lift or leveling kit installed; the whip serves to tell you if you're going to hit the overhang at the local drive-thru or if your rig can fit into the parking garage at the mall. I shortened mine by about 2 inches, but left it level with the top of the car. It has saved me twice from some serious damage.

This is great advice that never crossed my mind! Thanks Bridge
I've looked at every auto parts store for a stubby antenna, but can't find one. Did you order direct from them, or does anyone know where I could find one? My truck is lowered so I def don't have to worry about clearance.

To find the good ones that are not crap you really need to order them from a supplier or a website. the auto stores just don't stock things like this and the ones they do stock usually are crap. I looked at both Auto Zone and Advance Auto and did not have much luck at either store with a quality replacement.
