Another trick to clean out the tube is shove a piece of weed whacker string through it (the kind that has ridges in it is best) and attach that to a drill. Spray some brake cleaner in the tube and run the drill both directions. It really cleans the soot out well.
IIRC, the dummy plug that gets installed is for the EBPV actuator not the EBPS. The EBPV is on the turbo and the dummy plug replaces the actuator for that valve so it doesn't set a code.
I won't be able to tell for a while, this doesn't get driven much. It did turn off my CEL though.
I need to unplug my EBPV actuator, it's closing constantly in this weather and is a pain in the butt. I should have done it when I had the spider out. I'll stop by Radio Shack on the way home and pick up that resistor, I don't even want soft codes.
I unplugged mine a few thousand miles ago and haven't noticed any difference in milage. no CEL either ?
You rebel you......I did the same. It will just set a soft code and no CEL..I'm thinking of putting a new tube on my list of to do's. I already got the sensor and I was to much of a cheap **** to replace. On Bob's site he says DP tuner says it is good to have .

I guess I'll add that to my list....Thanks Grant.
My ICP is first, i'm getting tired of the fluctuating idle and cruise.....my work is never done.
im thinking about checking if mines packed, my mpg sux i got 185k and the previous owner obviously didnt give a damn. so i imaging its packed up too..
also does anyone know how to do a cyl contribution test with ae? i got my ae but dont know how to test.
Damn, you're up early like me. I won't know if there's a mileage increase until my next trip, whenever that is. It shut off my CEL so the ECU is getting proper signal know. All should be back to normal.
I just ordered my AE Saturday so post up when you figure it out.

i never get a cel... did yours idle up to 900 or so rpm also when it was warmed up randomly?
Shop some more on ebay. Use the Ford part #'s..also try motorcraft #'s..I got my sensor for $23.00 shipped..I used brake cleaner on my tube and it worked well, used a #14 solid wire to ream out the tube, took some time, but a lot cheaper in time than a new tube
