what carb?

What kind/size carburetor should I get for my '81 300-6? Would a 2-barrel be worth it? Thanks

So long as its all stock and ya dont do much other than daily driver, the factory 1-barrel should be fine. 2-barrel gives it a few more cajonies. if ya go with a 4-barrel, make sure ya get headers and a slightly larger cam to accommodate for the increased fuel. Ive seen 300s do quite well with headers, 4-barrel, and 264 cam.

Should I go with a rebuilt carb or get a brandnew one? And are there any online stores that sell them?

www.cliffordperformance.com has a 4barrel intake and i think they also list some different carbs that work with it. As to rebuilt or new, thats up to you and how much money you want to spend. If its for a daily driver, id buy new carb cause im paranoid like but a rebuilt one is basically just as good.

A 4-barrel sure would be nice, but the cost to convert gets pretty steep. Wish I could find a used 4-barrel intake layin around somewhere.
