I have just replaced some steering joints on my 2005 Excursion XLT Limo and need to check the Front wheel alighnment (over here we call it Tracking) i have set it to Paralell but it may need a degree or two of in or out any advice would be a great help as i don't want to scrub the tyres out

You can make a "Toe in Tool" by using a long 2"X4" or 6" wide piece of lumber with a nail at each end to scribe the tires and compare the front side to the backside and measure the difference to get the toe in figure in inches.
Thank's I do have the right alignment tools but what I need to know is the measurements ie: tow in or tow out and by how much or do they run parallel, great idea with the timber and nails though
