I emailed holley with a picture of the crack and they said that where the crack is it wouldn't cause excessive fuel to be dumped into my manifold but they want me to send it in anyway. So where does the vac advance line go? I have heard both full vac and timed vac.
So it turns out it was a simple probelm. I guess. I called holley and they coudln't figure it out over the phone so they had me send it in. What they found was that whoever had the carb before me installed the secondary metering plate and gaskets wrong and it was dumping tons of extra fuel in. This is the first holley I have had so i wouldn't have known. At least it was something simple.
I know this isn't quite reltated but i'm sure someone could help me with this. I was planning using a o2 sensor and volt gauge like others have done to monitor my air/fuel ratio to help tune the carb once I get it back on. This a good a idea? Does the one wire on the o2 sensor hook up to the posative side of the gauge?

So I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me out with my o2 sensor and voltmeter setup to help tune my holley or if i should start a new post.
I have tried to do some research on this but i still have a few questions. If i understand correctly a single wire o2 sensor will work. I have split headers with true duals. Does this mean I need two sensors with a switch to toggle between the two or is just one good enough for tuning purposes? Does the one wire on the sensor connect to the posative side of the voltmeter? I have read that the sensors put out less than 1V. If this is correct, how will an anolog voltmeter show this accuractly? Or do i need a different gauge?
This is on a 78 F250.
If someone could help me out with this that would be great, or I can just start a new thread.
