My compliments on all the nice work you've done on your truck. I would be very interested in knowing (in some detail) about the dechroming that must have gone on, the engine details (coil? on fender apron?) and especially that beautiful hand made dash. What wiring kit did you use, any power steering, etc. I have a lot of questions, but won't take the time to ask here. If you have the time and willingness, please shoot me an email. Thanks again for sharing.

Please answer all the questions on here. It could help all of us. You have done a wonderful job on the truck. I have lots of questions. Did you make the plate for the dash ? I do not see turn signal indicators or a high beam indicator on the dash ? What wiring did you use ? What fuel cell did you use ? Please tell all.
Thank you and keep up the craftmanship.

I handmade the dash plate from 16 guage steel. welded it in then cut the guage holes for the Auto Meter Pro-Comp guages. I havent added the turn or high beam indicator lights yet because I havent found any that I like. The wiring is the 12 circuit universal truck kit from Painless Performance, I highly recommend this. It took me about four hours to completely rewire the truck. The fuel cell is a 16 gallon poly from Summit Racing, carter electric fuel pump, 3/8 aluminum fuel line from the tank to the Carter 750cfm AFB carb. dual fuel filters at the pump and before the carb. The opening for the fuel cell is also custom (of course) It is Oval (of course). The ignition system is all new ( Mallory distr. mallory coil, Mallory 8mm Pro-Sidewinder wires, MSD 6A ignition. as for the interior I have atrted with handmade aluminum sill plates. Oh yea the drip rail has been shaved, the rear vertical seams welded closed and the old gas tank inlet welded shut.
The paint was shot by a friend. I did all the body work. I have several hundred hours in the body. It took me 40+ hours to shave the drip rail alone. As far as the paint it is PPG WA7753 Orange, $250.00 a gallon. However in low light it looks red and in bright light it looks orange. I will get better pictures when it stops raining here.
usea reciprocating saw and carefully cut about an inch at a time off. Then you have to weld that closed before you can go on to the next. and so on. ((Make sure you let it cool before welding more, it will warp the sheet metal)))
