Scored a nice 7.3L at work.

We took in a one owner 7.3 '02 Crew Cab 4x4. Called the previous owner for some info. Brakes and shocks 2 months ago, tires 8 months ago. No accidents. Never chipped, only 107k on the odo.

Had my diesel tech look it over, and he said it looked real good and that 109 wasn't squat on the truck (which i knew). Newer thermostat, 2 new batteries. A little oil at the top tube, but he said thats normal.

Pulled the trigger today. It's an xlt with manual 4x4 and the hard floors, good combo. Everything works good. Only 2 things is one side of the bumper is twisted up a little, I think i can pull it back down, and the locks seem a little sticky, but it could have been the 30 degrees and freezing rain today.

Time for a chip or programmer of some sort!

a few pics, not cleaned up yet. I think I can pull the bumper back down. If not, they gotta be a dime a dozen in the salvage yard.

From what i've seen the floor 4x4 is the right one to have, the hubs turn super easy as well. from free to lock with 0 issues.

I like the rubber floor, will make for easy cleaning. A spray liner is in order as well.

Congrats on the purchase. I love the rubber floors in my truck and can't imagine having carpet. Hint: if your wife get's on your nerves, armor all the floor on her side

The cheap way to fix problematic door lock actuators is this. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...-pictures.html

Thats a good looking truck! Its hard to tell from the pics, but those appear to be OEM step bars. OEM step bars about a nice as they come.

yes, they are ford step bars, no rust on em anywhere. i think when i do the spray liner, i'm going to do all new bed bolts too, just to give it a real clean look.

my buddy has a slightly used diablo 7.3 tuner i think i can get reasonable as well

thats a heck of a deal on an excursion, we have a 2wd eddie bauer 03 with 6.0, and we are asking 15,995 on it

i sold a 4wd with 220k on it limited 6 months ago and it brought almost 14 with a 7.3. 2002. We had 13k in it
